The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on crisis-ridden Orlu LGA and neighbouring communities together with Nkwerre, Ideato-south, Ideati-north, Njaba and Isu.

“He has, due to this fact, warned that any particular person or group of people caught fueling disaster will be arrested by the army.
“So, residents in these areas are advised to obey the dusk to dawn curfew as imposed by the state Governor or have themselves to blame if caught. This implies residents are not expected to walk around 6pm to 6am.”
It was learnt that the root trigger of the disaster was because of this of a faceoff between a gaggle, Eastern Security Network (ESN) and the army which led to a number of loss of lives.

A supply mentioned the invasion occurred as early as 6a.m. on Friday, January 22, when the safety operatives got here in search of the members of ESN.
The troopers have been mentioned to be drawn from the 34 Artillery Brigade in Obinze.
Earlier final week, ESN, arrange by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), launched a video, displaying its members boasting of how they dislodged safety males, who deserted their automobiles and fled.
