Nasarawa Governor Abdulahi Sule has raised the alarm over actions of the terror group, Boko Haram, in his state.
The Governor spoke to State House Correspondents on Friday after a closed-door assembly with President Muhammadu Buhari in his workplace at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to the Governor, members of the terror group, who have been dislodged from a location alongside the Abuja/Nasarawa borders final yr, had regrouped alongside the Nasarawa/Benue borders, wrecking new types of havoc.
He mentioned he was with the President to debate the insecurity subject in Nasarawa alongside with different points together with the doable federal authorities take-over of Jitata Road, which serves as a substitute route from the state to the FCT.
He mentioned some of the Boko Haram components energetic in the Nasarawa State belong to the Darussalam group that had been dislodged from Niger, saying that upon a joint safety operation, rather a lot of them have been killed whereas 900 have been arrested.
The Governor maintained that these arrested confirmed their membership of the Boko Haram insurgency group.
Sule mentioned Nasarawa had continued to have safety challenges, noting that having briefed the president, he’s assured that motion will be taken to curtail the menace.
