● COVID-19: Imo Govt Threatens Fresh Lockdown

Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo has threatened a second whole lockdown, if residents of the state proceed to ignore COVID-19 security protocols.

The governor issued the risk in a statewide broadcast in Owerri late on Friday evening.

Uzodinma, who frowned at nonchalance of Imo residents in the direction of established security protocols, stated that 4 cellular courts have been put in place in several elements of the state to prosecute violators of COVID-19 security protocols.

He directed the use of face masks, hand sanitisers and hand wash stands in all malls, markets, motels, eateries, evening golf equipment, tremendous markets and public places of work in addition to for all non secular gatherings, marriage and burial ceremonies.

He pecked the most quantity of individuals for public gatherings at 50 and warned that offenders must endure six months in jail or pay N20,000 in lieu.
