Billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Prince Ned Nwoko has disclosed that he married his spouse, Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels and the relaxation of his wives below three weeks, as a result of he doesn’t believe in courting.
According to the former lawmaker, he believes love grows after marriage, and throughout that point, a person ought to take his time to groom his girl to develop into what he desires her to be, whereas married to her.
Nwoko who spoke to BBC information in Igbo, mentioned: Our (Regina and him) marriage is stable, primarily based on respect and understanding over time. I met her and I like her, we married within three weeks, I married all my wives within identical interval, I do not believe in courting anyone I wish to marry.”
“You marry them and you start to fall in love within the marriage. Even in my very own tradition as it were as a child in the sixties, folks were not courting, they get married, within the households, they select a spouse, most ladies are anticipated to be virgins, they get married and then they construct a household from there.
“And because they did not know each other before they got married, there is a lot of excitement and a lot of learning to do, but Regina and I is a story that is interesting because before I met her, I did not know about her, I do not watch movies, I met her the first time when she came to my house with her mother and siblings to my place in Delta, which is a tourist attraction. I saw her and I like her and that was it, you know,” he mentioned.
On his marrying one other spouse, he mentioned: “Whether I marry another wife is not … she knows that it can happen, I come from a very polygamous environment myself, I love children and I want more children, she knows it and my other wives know this, so we see what happens in the future.”
“You see the common Northerner marrying two, three, 4 ladies, they’re serving to the society as a result of it is the financial downturn that has affected so many ladies who you see doing prostitution and all that. But the fallacy of it all is that Christianity does not permit that in the South and but, the common Southern man has 10 girlfriends.
“I love my tradition as I know it, not as they’re making an attempt to dilute it. Igbo tradition is great and ought to be promoted the manner it has always been. But even taking a look at that, have a look at your inhabitants in Nigeria and what I will name economic system of marriage, as an Igbo man with one spouse, 4 youngsters, a Northerner has 4 wives with 5 youngsters every, in the subsequent 10 years, 20 years, think about the inhabitants of the Northerner.
