Klopp to miss six players against Man United — Nairalovers

Jurgen Klopp will once again have to select a makeshift back four as Liverpool prepare to visit Old Trafford.

Manchester United warmed-up for Sunday afternoon’s meeting against their old rivals with a memorable 6-2 win over Roma in the semi-finals of the Europa League.

Doubles from Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani put United on the verge of a place in the Gdansk showpiece.

Those strikes came after Lorenzo Pellegrini (pen) and former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko had Italian visitors Roma 2-1 to the good at half-time of the first leg.

However, the hosts responded through Fernandes and Cavani, while Paul Pogba and substitute Mason Greenwood later got themselves in on the act.

Liverpool were without a midweek fixture ahead of their trip to the same venue on Sunday afternoon.

He joins long-term absentees Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez (both knee) on the sidelines, while fellow defender Joel Matip (ankle) and captain Jordan Henderson (groin) are not yet fit enough to return, either.

Asked if there was any change to his injury list, manager Klopp said, “No, no, all the same in this moment.”
