The Enugu State Police Command is investigating the alleged killing of a person recognized as Osita Nwachukwu by his son, Chibuike Nwachukwu. The command’s spokesperson, Ebere Amaraizu, a superintendent of police, made this identified in a press release on Friday in Enugu.
Mr Amaraizu mentioned the incident occurred at about 5.30 a.m. on Friday at Enugu-Agu village in Amuri neighborhood in Nkanu West Native Authorities Space.
“A son recognized as Chibuike Nwachukwu, about 25 years previous, has allegedly hacked his father, Mr Osita Nwachukwu, about 60 years previous, to dying with a machete over a yet-to-be-established subject.
“The alleged incident has thrown the whole Amuri neighborhood into mourning at present,’’ he mentioned.
Mr Amaraizu mentioned the suspect had been nabbed by the police and was already serving to within the investigation of the matter.
He mentioned that the physique of the deceased had been deposited in a hospital mortuary in the neighborhood for an post-mortem.
