Former Minister of State, Senator James Akpan Udoedehe has
confirmed that the peace accord reached by the stakeholders in the
State was no fluke.
Udoedehe reiterated at the press briefing held at the party
Secretariat along Atiku Abubakar Avenue in Uyo that enemies of
the party in the State, who had envisaged crisis should hide their
faces in shame.
“I am elated to be a part of this peaceful resolution. My
catchphrase is we don’t want to win the war, we want to win the
race (that is election), ” Udoedehe said.
“Our ultimate aim is winning the governorship election, not fighting
amongst ourselves again. The press should resist from peddling
falsehood against leaders of the party in the State should stopped.”
He added that Congresses would be successful, stressing that, “a
State Chairman will be elected peacefully during the State
Congress hence the propaganda should stop.”
