Borno State Governor Zulum had ordered investigation of fire at the Maiduguri GSM market

Gov. Babagana Zulum of Borno has ordered investigation into the Thursday night time hearth on the Maiduguri GSM market.

Mr Isa Gusau, the Special Adviser to the governor on Public Relations and Strategy, introduced this in a press release issued on Friday in Maiduguri.

Gusau disclosed that Zulum directed the Chief of Staff, Government House, Mr Babagana Wakil, to analyze the trigger, assess the injury and submit its report inside 24 hours.

“The governor directed the Chief of workers, Government House and 5 commissioners to evaluate the hearth incident and report again at present.

“The commissioners whose ministries relate to commerce, dwelling affairs, poverty alleviation and jobs creation are to evaluate injury, work together with respondents, victims and different related individuals so as to generate rapid report required by the governor.

“The governor intends to review the report and take actions deemed needed.

“Zulum shared the pains of those whose means of livelihood and assets were torched,” Gusau stated.

Dozens of outlets and property price hundreds of thousands of Naira have been destroyed within the Thursday night time hearth, which began at about 8pm and lasted for a number of hours earlier than it was extinguished by hearth servicemen, safety personnel and members of the group.
