N100 BRIBE!! Rivers Policeman arrested for shooting bus passenger

The Police authority in Rivers State have confirmed that a trigger happy Policeman who recently shot a bus passenger in the leg has been arrested.

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a trigger-happy cop, who shot a bus passenger in the Evekwu area of the East-West Road on December 11, 2018. A video of a young man, who was shot in the leg, was trending online for several days, with many of those who watched it condemning the action of the policeman.

It was gathered that policemen, who were on stop and search, had demanded N100 from each commercial bus driver passing through the area. However, when it got to the turn of a bus marked G.U. Agofure, the driver said he had no money to give to the cops, a development that made the policemen stop the vehicle. One of the passengers alighted to tell the policemen to allow the bus, which was conveying passengers from Warri to Port Harcourt, to continue on the journey.

Angered by the passenger’s action, one of the cops allegedly shot him in the leg before the victim was taken to a hospital after much appeal to the policemen. The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the arrest of the cop, who shot the passenger in the leg. Omoni, who stated that the passenger had been discharged from the hospital after treatment, said the policeman had been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department. He pointed out that Section 237 of the Police Code that deals with how an officer/policeman should use firearm would be evoked on the suspect.

Omoni stated, “Two Agofure buses, which loaded at Warri (Delta State), were travelling to Port Harcourt when policemen, who were on stop and search, stopped the first bus. The driver of the second bus and one of the passengers came done to approach the officer. “While they were getting close to the officers to find out why the first bus was stopped, one of the policemen shot the passenger in the leg

Cry 😭😭😭😭for mercy🙌🙌🙌😭😭😭

(Slightly edited copy)

Some days ago, I sent a broadcast on WhatsApp to all my contacts. It was a forwarded message also and a call for prayer for all Christians to fast and pray because of the state of the nation and all the killings and terrorism going on in the country.

Two days later, I was about breaking my fast after my intercessory prayers for the church and the nation and the Lord started speaking and dealing with me. I was like a woman in travail and in great pain and He said script down all as I speak….. I took a pen and paper and I began writing.

Before you call for prayers, said the Lord, there must be a purging and cleansing within. My hands are not too short nor my ears deaf. The blood of my Son has been taken for granted and my grace as a mandate for continuous sin. So much abominable, unprintable transgressions, sins and iniquities and My grace taken as a mandate for committing atrocities.

My people have become lovers of themselves and Mammon, my temples desecrated, evil abound in the land, backbiting, backstabbing, jealousy malice, evil competition, voodoo, envy, killings, occultic and satanic manipulation, Jezebelian spirit, most of them have gone their own way transgressing without recourse to the blood.

The Islamic uprising; I have allowed. My hands are not too short, nor my ears deaf, *( in a flash I saw a picture of the blood dripping from the pierced hands of the Lamb Jesus.) The blood of my Son dripping is almost exhausted.
Armageddon is near, except they humble themselves, seek my face, turn from their wicked ways I will not hear their cry.

Do you think my hands are too short or my ears deaf? When a man’s way pleases me, I make his enemies to be at peace with him. What if a man’s way does not please me? I will use the same enemies to humiliate him. I will give them wicked rulers, plaques, hardship and famine, and I will turn away and watch as their blood will be used to flush gutters.

The rulers and leaders are committing atrocities. The priests/pastors/ prophets who are to be sent to warn them and sanitise the system are equally in this jangle-ova of evil and iniquity, amassing wealth, blaspheming, proud and boastful, sexually immoral, committing evil in my name and lying against my Spirit. My Spirit is grieved.

No one talks about Holiness.
Tell them I will give them into the hands of the bond woman, they will take over their land, schools, jobs, ministry, only a few will be spared. Tell them, warn them, the Islamic uprising is not a farce, except they repent and turn from their wicked ways, they will all likewise perish. When you break the edge, get ready, the serpent must bite.

My temples have been raped, battered and ridiculed, desecrated and polluted. Only a few will be saved, except they repent. Armageddon is near.

I started praying for mercy and pleading the blood. He said to me, the same way you made that broadcast calling for national prayers and so many people reposted it, do the same.

And I heard the words in 2Chron.7v14: “If My people which are called by My name shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sins and I will heal their land”. And

2Tim.2v19: “Nevertheless, the foundation of the Lord standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are His. And let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity”.

As I bowed my head, I was still in great excruciating abdominal pains like a woman in travail, my hands shaking and I began to weep.
He said, go ahead and script it, write it down, send it on every medium, preach it, sing it….. let it be on record!
And I asked Lord
But why me?
I heard, “Just the same way you broadcasted the call for prayers, send this out. If I can use anything I can use you!!!!!…
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people!

What I have heard, same I have scripted down…….He who has ears, let him hear.

PLEASE & PLEASE help Rebroadcast/Share widely quickly for immediate Action and Repentance by everyone like the people of Nineveh did in the Bible to avert the coming doom due to the Lord’s Anger and Punishment for SIN, INIQUITIES, ATROCITIES & DISREGARD OF HIS HOLINESS AND WARNINGS.”

What we’ll Do to Politicians, retired Military Officers During Elections — Army

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, has said that there would be no military escorts for politicians especially retired military officers during the general elections.

He directed Commanders to ensure the restrictions of movement within their commands and also carry out a stop and search, anyone found culpable should be handed over to the police.

The Army Chief stated this at a meeting with principal officers and commanders of the Nigerian Army.

He said the Army is taking a proactive approach to stop election crimes such as ballot box snatching and violence.

He further directed Commanders to deal decisively with anyone caught doing anything that will be inimical to the success of the election.

President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier ordered security operatives to “deal ruthlessly” with anyone who attempts to snatch ballot box during the rescheduled general elections on Saturday, February 23, 2019.

The President said he had ordered security agencies to prepare to crack down on potential trouble makers during the rescheduled elections.

He said that he had briefed the law enforcement agencies and the military, who have identified the hot spots and flashpoints.

Most sincerely observed, Buhari’s greatest enemies are found in his government.
If not, how could his advisers allow him to ‘touch’ the CJN now akin to holding a tiger by the tail?

And now the entire members of NBA / entire lawyers of Nigeria have turned against Buhari and APC… an inverse campaign for the opposition PDP.

Yet the entire University and Polytechnic lecturers in Nigeria are still on strike making APC campaign laughable among the millions of Nigeria students.

Again worth mentioning is the unfortunate position of NLC and Nigeria workers concerning the Minimum Wage issue. … another clog in the political wheel of APC campaign machinery.

Verily verily I say to you, even the assemblage of all computers at INEC headquarters cannot rig or manipulate enough votes that will give Buhari a win.

The APC campaign organ has lost the touch with reality. And the worst will happen as they continue to keep unfriendly posture towards the UK, USA, EU and other international community.

Simply saying here, Buhari’s ‘friends’ are his worst enemies. Buhari can no longer win this election anyway.

Vaccine could virtually eliminate Cervical Cancer – study

The rapid scale-up of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine could virtually eliminate cervical cancer in a handful of rich countries within three decades, and in most other nations by century’s end, researchers said Wednesday.

Without screening and HPV vaccination, more than 44 million women will likely be diagnosed with the disease over the next 50 years, they reported in The Lancet Oncology, a medical journal.

Two-thirds of these cases — and an estimated 15 million deaths — would occur in low- and medium-income countries.

By contrast, the rapid deployment starting in 2020 of screening and vaccination could prevent more than 13 million cervical cancers by mid-century worldwide, and lower the number of cases to below four-per-100,000 women, the study found.

“This is a potential threshold for considering cervical cancer to be eliminated as a major public health problem,” the authors said in a statement.

Earlier this month, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported 570,000 new cases worldwide in 2018, making it the fourth most common cancer for women after breast, colon and lung cancer.

The disease claims the lives of more than 300,000 women every year, mostly in lower-income nations.

“Despite the enormity of the problem, our findings suggest that global elimination is within reach,” said lead author Karen Canfell, a professor at the Cancer Council New South Wales, in Sydney.

Achieving that goal, however, depends on “both high coverage of HPV vaccination and cervical screening,” she added.

Transmitted sexually, HPV is extremely common and includes more than 100 types of virus, at least 14 of them cancer-causing.

The viruses have also been linked to cancers of the anus, vulva, vagina and penis.

It takes 15 to 20 years for cervical cancer to develop in women with normal immune systems. If the immune system is weak or compromised — by HIV infection, for example — cancer can develop far more quickly.

Clinical trials have shown that HPV vaccines are safe and effective against the two HPV strains — types 16 and 18 — responsible for 70 per cent of cervical cancer cases.

The study’s projections presume the vaccination of 80 per cent of girls 12 to 15 years old starting in 2020, and that at least 70 per cent of women undergo screening twice in their lifetime.

This would push the prevalence of the disease below the bar of 4/100,000 women in countries such as the United States, Canada, Britain and France by 2059, and in mid-income countries such as Brazil and China by 2069, the authors calculate.

6 things you need to stay away from if you want to look younger

6 things to stay away from if you want to look younger

Age is something many of us have been obsessed with for years. When we were younger we wanted to look older, and as we got older we wanted to look younger!

Nobody wants to look 10 years older. But could you be doing things that are ageing you without you even realising it?

In this article we shortlist six daily actions and things that make you look older.

1) You Don’t Sleep Enough: What are your thoughts on sleep? Are you a “sleep is for the weak” type of person? Or do you crave as much sleep as possible? Sleep is super important for our body. Snatching 3-4 hours of sleep per night because you’re a busy person might sound cool at the time and you might even wake up feeling okay, but in the long term, a lack of sleep is putting your health and beauty at major risk. When we sleep, our bodies detoxify and heal.

2) Not Exercising: Lack of exercise is another one of those things that make you look older and that we can easily change. Maybe you exercise every now and then. Perhaps once a week; that might sound fine in theory but skipping exercise each day could be a major fail, if you don’t want to look older than you are. People who look fab even as they enter their forties tend to exercise each day.

3) Drinking liquor: Alcohol dehydrates us (ever woken up after a night of drinking with a huge thirst?), but what a lot of people don’t tend to think about is that it dehydrates our skin. When our skin becomes parched, we might experience wrinkles, fine lines and acne. Not cool. Try a month or more without alcohol and see how you look and feel, as alcohol could easily score the first place in the list of things that make you look older.

4) Letting Stress Get The Better of You:Stress is another one of things that make you look older. We know what you’re thinking. “It’s okay for you to say that I let stress get on top of me, but how am I supposed to avoid it, when I’m around so many stressful situations?” We all get stressed at some point or another. Some of us have bigger stressors than others, and some of us are in the firing line more than most. The trick is to ensure it does not weigh you down so much to let it affect your looks.

5) You Indulge Too Much: Do you think you indulge too much? Or are you not sure? A candy bar here and a chocolate treat there might not seem like much at the time, but this kind of indulgence can be hard to track – and it can really accelerate the ageing process.

6) Smoking: Lastly, if you smoke you know the score on this one. Smoking can cause lung cancer, but even if it doesn’t, it’s going to age you super-fast.

Presidency Lists 10 things To Prove Buhari Has improved Nigerias economy.

The Presidency has released 10 facts about the resurgence of Nigeria’s economy under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Femi Adesina, Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, said the current All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration has put the Nigerian economy on “firm and solid footing.”

A statement he forwarded to DAILY POST reads thus:

The Fourth Quarter 2018 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) results released recently by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) give lots of cause to cheer.

Below are salient points to note from the report, as the Muhammadu Buhari administration puts the Nigerian economy on firm, solid footing:

1. The economy has recorded continued progress since it emerged from recession in 2017. Current result shows a Real GDP growth of 2.38% compared to 1.81% in Q3 last year, representing the strongest growth since the economy slipped into recession in 2016.

2. For more than five decades, Nigeria has paid lip service to diversifying the economy, from sole dependence on oil. The latest result shows that economic growth has continued to be driven by the non-oil sector, which grew by 2.70% in Q4 2018, up from 2.32% in Q3 2018. It represents the strongest growth in the sector since Q4 2015.

3. The non-oil GDP growth was driven by Quarrying and Other Minerals, followed by Telecommunications, Agriculture, Manufacturing, and Construction. That is diversification in progress, real time, no matter what the naysayers may say.

4. While the non-oil sector actually drove GDP growth, the oil sector contracted with crude oil and gas GDP reducing by -1.62%. This shows that with good governance, focus, prudence and accountability, the life of the country need not depend on oil ad infinitum.

5. The NBS report further shows that Services GDP growth recorded its best performance in 11 quarters, growing by 2.90% compared to 2.64% in Q3 2018 and 0.10% in Q4 2017. Overall, while growth in the economy was moderated by the contraction in the oil sector, 39 out of 46 economic activities recorded positive growth in the quarter under review.

6. The improved GDP growth can be attributed to Government’s continuous implementation of the policy initiatives in the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP), which has boosted the performance of the non-oil sector.

7. The growth in Q4 2018 GDP is consistent with the improvements in other macroeconomic indicators, including inflation, capital inflows, foreign trade, external reserves, amongst others.

8. Headline inflation has been trending downwards from 18.55% as at December 2016 to 15.37% in December 2017 and further to 11.44% in December 2018.

9. The total value of capital importation into Nigeria stood at $2,140 million in the fourth quarter of 2018. This translates to a full year capital inflow of $16,812 million compared to $12,228 million in 2017.

10. Although the economy is now growing, more still must be done to deepen its diversification and make it less vulnerable to external shocks. That is an unflinching commitment of the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Those who do not see any good in something not initiated by them toil endlessly to hoodwink Nigerians into believing that nothing good is happening on the economic front. But facts are stubborn things. The more they try to deny the facts, the more they rudely stare at them in the face.

With the Buhari administration, economic Eldorado beckons. Nigeria is inexorably set for that Next Level.
