Cattle colonies: Katsina govt allocates 5,300 hectares of land


The Katsina State Government on Thursday assigned 5,300 hectares of land for the foundation of a dairy cattle settlement.
This was revealed to newsmen in Katsina by the Special Adviser to the Governor, Dr Abba Abdullahi.
Katisna state is among other 16 expresses that have consented to the foundation of steers provinces proposed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbe.
Abdullahi said that the land designation was a piece of government’s proactive measures to counteract conflicts amongst agriculturists and herders in the state.
He said that steers province would be built up in Gurbin-Baure, Jibiya Local Government Area of the state.
“Katsina is among the principal states to give the Federal Government arrive for that venture. We gave 5,300 hectares of land, and is in one place, Gurbin-Baure, Jibiya,” he said.
