President Muhammadu Buhari performed host to visiting world leaders at a dinner final evening in Abuja, forward of the nation’s Democracy Day, which is being marked right now.
The occasion, which was held on the Presidential Villa, Abuja, had the Vice-President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, in attendance.
The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, the Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, and a few former Heads of State, attended the dinner.
The world leaders sighted on the occasion had been these of Liberia, Rwanda, Gambia, Niger, Congo, Ghana, Chad, Uganda, Senegal, Mauritania and Italy.
The principle occasion to mark June 12 as Nigeria’s new Democracy Day, will happen right now on the Eagle Sq., Abuja.
The previous Secretary to the Authorities of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, mentioned on the dinner that the celebration was “distinctive”, coming only a day after the inauguration of the ninth Nationwide Meeting.
