Ekiti court sentence two men to death by hanging

An Ado Ekiti High Court, has sentenced two ment to loss of life by hanging for conspiracy, homicide and illegal possession of human cranium.

In the cost sheet, the condemned individuals, Tosin Oluwafemi, 21, and Ogunleye Tajudeen, 18, dedicated the offences on Feb. 14, 2017 at Ifaki Ekiti, the place they conspired to homicide one Joshua Ojo.

The offence, in line with the cost sheet, is opposite to Section 516, 316, 319 and 329(a) of the Criminal Code, Cap C16, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

In her judgment, Justice Oluwatoyin Abodunde stated “every evil or good action in life attracts consequences, and in the accused persons’ case, their act has grave consequences”.

“Therefore, for the offence of conspiracy, the accused individuals are sentenced to seven years imprisonment and for the second depend of homicide is a loss of life sentence.

“The first and second accused persons are hereby sentenced to death by hanging and may the Lord have mercy on their souls,” the decide stated.

She additional stated that for illegal possession of human cranium, every of the accused was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.
