Mr Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), says the plan to extend Value Added Tax (VAT) from 5 per cent to 7.5 per cent is in the best course to lift nation’s income.

He mentioned the federal government had accountability to fend for each citizenry by offering primary infrastructure like roads, electrical energy and hospitals amongst others.
