The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, has defined how the $322m recovered from late Gen. Sani Abacha’s household is being utilised by the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Shehu, in a press release in Abuja on Wednesday, mentioned the cash was used to make the Conditional Money Switch of a month-to-month quantity of N5,000 to greater than 300,000 poor properties throughout the nation beneath the Social Funding Programme launched by the Federal Authorities.

He added that the spending was consistent with the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the governments of Nigeria and Switzerland as a situation for releasing the funds.

In keeping with Shehu, as a part of the MoU, the World Financial institution is monitoring the applying of the funds, noting that the Financial institution has additionally given an extra facility to help the on-going money transfers.
