The impeached Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba, has stated that his purported ouster final Friday by the State Assembly won’t stand.

The House of Assembly had accused the panel that investigated Achuba of compromise.
The report of the investigative panel was put aside by the Assembly, which went on to question Achuba as deputy to Governor Yahaya Bello.
Achuba, at a press convention, in Lokoja, on Sunday, shortly after shifting out of the official residence, stated that swearing-in Edward Onoja, former Chief of Staff to the Governor or anybody else “as they are planning will amount to continuation of illegality being perpetrated by Governor Bello.”
