Four men were arraigned before an Ota Senior Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for attempted murder

Four males have been, on Wednesday, arraigned earlier than an Ota Senior Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for tried homicide.

The males, Tayo Babajide, 37; Owolabi Tayo, 38; Olawale Olayiwola, 38; and Kehinde Oludele, 28, whose addresses weren’t given, are going through a three-count cost of conspiracy, breach of peace and tried homicide.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Cynthia Ajezie, informed the courtroom that the defendants and others, nonetheless at giant, dedicated the offences on Oct. 25, at about 11.40 am. at Mero Village, by way of Illogbo, Ota, Ogun.

Ajezie stated that the defendants, whereas forcefully coming into a landed property belonging to the Agbedako household, injured the complainant, Oluwaseun Shomoye, on the top, with machete.

She stated that the offences contravened Sections 81, 86 and 320(1) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.

All the defendants, nevertheless, pleaded not responsible to the fees.

The Senior Magistrate, Mr Shotunde Shotayo, granted every of the defendants bail within the sum of N400,000, with two sureties every in like sum.

Shotayo ordered that the sureties should reside throughout the courtroom’s jurisdiction and be gainfully employed, with proof of tax cost to the Ogun Government.
