How igbos can produce the next President come 2023–Ohanaeze

THE Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide believes the Southeast stands an excellent likelihood of manufacturing Nigeria’s president in 2023 supplied the geo-political zone is ready to do the needful.

At least, two of the present governors and a few senators from the zone should defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to make it occur, the group mentioned yesterday in a press release.

Four of the Southeast governors and nearly all of the senators are from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).Only Governor Willie Obiano of the Anambra State belongs to All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council mentioned in a press release by its President General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, and Secretary General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, that the main impediment to the conclusion of an Igbo president is its alternative of {party}.

It mentioned: “We have noticed that Igbo going to date primarily based on political antecedents and actions, are historically PDP and APGA for nearly 20 years of democracy in Nigeria.

“Igbo Youths noticed that to be able to have an edge over different southern zones over 2023 Presidency, we should have at the least two Southeast Governors defect to APC.

“Talks have already begun with some essential stakeholders to actualize this political stability within the Southeast. At least with three Southeast PDP Governors and two Southeast APC Governors earlier than the primary quarter of 2021, Igbo stand an opportunity for presidency.

“We are independently positive that with two APC Governors from the Southeast, it can strengthen our collective discount for a Nigerian President of Igbo inventory come 2023 in each PDP and APC.

“We urge Igbo to use “Anya Dee Nwamuo Lee ihe nno n’akpa” let’s despise the issues of the previous and flush it into the dustbin of historical past.

“We’ll surely get two Igbo Presidential materials to fly PDP and APC tickets, especially those with the same pedigree of Great Zik of Africa.”
