A farmer , Mr Wole Agboola, who was reportedly kidnapped at Olukitibi village in the Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State has been found dead.
Agboola’s corpse was found on Tuesday by his family members after his abductors had apparently dumped his body close to where he was kidnapped.
It was gathered that the victim who was kidnapped on December 28 was found dead after the hoodlums collected N1.65 million ransom from his family.
Agboola’s family made the disclosure in an interview with journalists in Ibadan after the discovery.
The deceased’s brother, Olakunle Agboola, who is a journalist, said his late brother, who was into fishery and piggery was killed 10 days after the family paid ransom to his abductors.
He said, “My brother, Wole Agboola, was killed after a huge ransom was paid and we later found his body inside the bush near Aba Odo yesterday at 6 o’clock, just a bit close to where he was abducted.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Olugbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed Agboola’s death said ” He was found dead but two suspects were arrested and are currently being investigated.”
Recall that the deceased was abducted on his farm on Monday, December 28, 2020 by six armed men dressed in military camouflage.
