Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Saturday, requested the Igbos to be cautious of guarantees from the All Progressives Congress, APC, forward of the 2019 common elections.
Obasanjo who spoke at a Stakeholders assembly, at Ukpor, Nnewi South Native Authorities Space of Anambra State, mentioned that the APC had no plans at hand over the Presidency of the nation to the Igbos.
He urged the Igbos to take their future of their palms, by getting united within the 2019 common elections, and make a mark.
He mentioned: “I urge you the Igbos, to not permit anyone to relegate you to the background, since you occupy a spot of preeminence on this nation.
“The Igbos should bury their variations and work collectively for the actualisation of the Atiku/Obi challenge, of their finest curiosity.
“It’s harmful to take the APC authorities significantly”, Obasanjo acknowledged.
Describing Peter Obi as a beacon of hope, Obasanjo requested him to succeed in out to main Stakeholders within the South-East, to drum assist for the 2019 PDP Presidential challenge.
