NIGERIAN ADVANCE PARTY (NAP)
The Nigerian Advance Party was formed by Tunji Braithwaith on 13 October 1979 but was registered on 25 May 1982. Members of the party were mainly intellectuals from southern Nigeria. The party was one of the six to contest for the Nigerian presidential election of 1983 but won no election in both the federal and state level. In December 2012, the party was one of the 28 political parties to be deregistered by INEC.
