OPC, Hunters, Arrest Kidnappers In Osun After Collecting Ransom ●

Seven suspected kidnappers have been arrested in connection with the abduction of three travellers alongside Omoh/Erin-Ijesha highway in Ori-Ade Local Government Area of Osun State.

The vacationers have been kidnapped on Sunday evening and our correspondent gathered that the suspects have been smoked out by way of the collaborative efforts of Odua People’s Congress, hunters and vigilantes.

Kidnappers had kidnapped the vacationers on Sunday and the police stated one of the kidnapped passengers was rescued.

Our correspondent gathered that the remaining two victims have been launched by the kidnappers on Tuesday evening. A supply stated the kidnappers have been pressured to free the remaining victims as a result of the OPC members, hunters and the vigilantes intensified the search and combed the forest.

One of the members of the households of one of the victims informed journalists that the kidnappers demanded N10m ransom however stated N1m was paid.

“The kidnappers demanded N10 million ransom however we intensified our rescue mission in the forest. We combed in all places and these kidnappers knew that they might be caught so that they shortly collected the N1m raised by the household and launched their victims.

“One of the victims claimed to be released on Monday ran from those kidnappers. Six of the kidnappers were arrested and handed over to the police, ” the supply stated.

The Osun State Coordinator of Oodua Peoples Congress, Deji Aladesawe, confirmed that seven suspected kidnappers have been arrested by his males, hunters and vigilantes and these arrested had been handed over to the police.
