Officers from the Workplace of the United Nations Excessive Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and people from Adamawa and Borno states, on Monday, stated about 90,000 Nigerian refugees in Cameroun ”are protected’’ and can quickly return.
The officers brainstormed on Monday over plans to repatriate the refugees. The refugees, principally from Borno, had been displaced by the never-ending Boko Haram insurgency.
On the assembly in Yola, Adamawa State Commissioner of Data and Technique, Ahmad Sajoh, stated plans for his or her evacuation had reached a sophisticated stage.
“Needed preparations have been made by the Adamawa State Authorities to obtain the refugees, who would cross by means of Adamawa transit camp from Minawawo camp in Cameroon.
