Members of the financial advisory council are presently in a closed-door assembly with President Muhammadu Buhari on the State House in Abuja
This assembly is the primary for the reason that inauguration of the advisory council
President Buhari final month replacedthe Economic Management Team, headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, with the Economic Advisory Council which is remitted to report on to him
The eight-man financial advisory council is headed by Professor Doyin Salami with Dr Mohammed Sagagi as vice chairman whereas the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Development Policy, Dr Mohammed Salisu, is the secretary.
Appointed as members of the council is the previous governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Chukwuma Soludo, and the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, Mr Bismark Rewane.
Other members of the committee are Professor Ode Ojowu, Dr Shehu Yahaya, and Dr Iyabo Masha.
The Council will advise the President on financial coverage issues, together with fiscal evaluation, financial progress and a variety of inside and world financial points working with the related cupboard members and heads of financial and financial businesses.
