President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday depart Abuja to attend a three-day Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi, Russia, October 23rd – 25th, the presidency has mentioned.
According to a press release by Senior Special Assistant to the President Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the summit will concentrate on exploring and increasing alternatives in safety, commerce and funding, science and expertise, and fuel manufacturing.
During the summit, Buhari will meet with President Vladimir Putin of Russia to additional strengthen relations in safety, commerce and funding, and constructing partnership that can improve Nigeria’s enormous fuel potential, following Russia’s outstanding success in fuel exportation.
The summit, which will probably be attended by African Heads of States, will convey contemporary views on some world points and challenges like nuclear expertise, power improvement, digital transformation, setting, technical safety, mining and metal, schooling, agriculture, infrastructure and improvement methods.
An African Business Forum, which is able to convey collectively African and Russian enterprise leaders, will probably be held in the course of the occasion to reinforce Russian investments in Africa, and promote African enterprise curiosity within the host nation.
President Buhari will probably be accompanied by Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State.
