The Akwa Ibom State Police on Wednesday said plans are ongoing to arraign some officials of the Deeper Life High School over allegations of sexual abuse of a teenage student.
Recall that the boarding school run by the Deeper Life Bible Church in Uyo has been enmeshed in scandal over alleged sexual abuse of an eleven-year-old boy, Don Davies, among other allegations.
The state police command noted that some officials of the school were earlier detained after attending a meeting at the Police Headquarters in Uyo.
The Commissioner of Police, Andrew Amiengheme, had summoned the officials for interrogation over the incident.
According to the prosecuting counsel, David Okokon, the teenager was sexually abused by two senior students of the school, and the police will arraign “those found culpable” on Wednesday.
“They (the police) are arraigning those people found culpable, this morning,” Okokon had informed The Nairalovers.
