According to him, joining the movement may make ladies miss the will of God for their lives. He shared this opinion on his Twitter handle. It reads

”If you are a Single Sister, DONT JOIN THE FEMINIST MOVEMENT! The Feminist Movement May make you miss the Will of God for your Life. If you are MARRIED, don’t join them either, IF YOU WANT TO GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR MARRIAGE. The Feminism want to CONTEST the Head of the Home.”

● If you are against Eastern Security Network, Receive sense’ – Nnamdi Kanu

IPOB chief, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has come out to deal with those who’re against the formation of the Eastern Security Network.

The Eastern Security Network (ESN) is a regional safety pressure and a paramilitary wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), based mostly in the Igbo half of Nigeria.

Upon the formation of the ESN, Kanu acknowledged that the group was vital to guard Igbo natives and farmers from assaults by Fulani herdsmen.

Some critics have faulted the creation of the safety outfit, saying it’s only a pretext for a army wing of the IPOB aimed toward revolt and secession, however Kanu and his supporters declare the group is not any totally different from the Islamic police in the North and Amotekun in the South West.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday night time, January 30, Kanu acknowledged that anybody who’s against the ESN ought to ‘obtain sense.’  He wrote;

“If you’re against Eastern Security Network, who will cease Fulani herdsmen & their allies in the Army/Police from murdering/raping you in your properties, farms & highways? Is it the Army/Police which can be complicit or the @NGRPresident that permits them by pardoning them? Receive sense!

APC now in support of Saraki. Against his impeachment

APC Senators kick against Saraki’s Impeachment (FULL DETAILS)
Fresh developments indicate that the plot by the Leadership of the
All Progressives Congress, APC led by Adams Oshiomhole to
remove Senate President, Bukola Saraki may have hit a stumbling
block as a majority of the party’s senators have washed their
hands off the impeachment move.
Comrade Oshiomhole has been leading the campaign for the sack
of Senator Saraki following his defection to the opposition Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP.
The move against Saraki got to a head about two weeks ago when
hooded operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS laid a
siege on the National Assembly which prompted the Vice
President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to sack the Director General of the
DSS, Lawal Daura.
Sources close to APC senators that majority of the party’s
senators are no longer on same page with Comrade Oshiomhole
over the plot to remove Saraki.
According to Nigerian pilot, in spite of monetary inducements and
promises of automatic tickets, only about eight APC Senators out
of over 50 are in support of the removal of the Senate President.
Some of the anti-Saraki senators include Abdullahi Adamu, Ali
Ndume, George Akume and Ovie Omo-Agege.
It was gathered that over the years most of the senators,
especially former governors, developed close relationship with
Saraki beyond the chambers of the National Assembly. This
relationship and close rapport cut across partisan party lines.
Senator Saraki’s management of the Senate since he took over in
June 2015 is also working in his favour as he was said to have
“carried along over 90 percent of the senators” irrespective of
party affiliation.
Even Senator Shehu Sani who declined to defect with Saraki
despite his strained relationship with Governor Nasir El-Rufai is
said to be against the removal of Saraki saying “he has not done
anything to warrant his removal.”
Some APC governors are also said to be working behind the scene
to ensure senators from their states queue behind Saraki. The APC
governors are said to be uncomfortable with the “combative,
aggressive dictatorial” leadership style of Comrade Oshiomhole.
The governors are of the view that Comrade Oshiomhole has
compounded the internal crisis in APC and may lead the party to a
woeful outing next year if he is not curtailed.
The former governor of Edo State is said to be beating a silent
retreat in his bid to unseat Saraki and has been less vocal about
the issue in almost two weeks.

Your ex is a crime against courtship

Have you ever wondered why a guy will disrespect a lady, insult
her, treat her bad and end up leaving her for another lady; but
when this lady who was abandoned finds another guy, her ex
misses her and in some cases, he even feels jealous and vows to
either win her back or drive the new guy away. And yet he had no
intention of staying. Well the ladies who go back are not smart for
it’s not wise to go back to a guy who disrespected you and was
disloyal to you.
Don’t tell me, that is love, for that is pure foolishness. A smart
woman dines at the table where loyalty and respect is served, not
where money and good sex is served. Ladies need to date with
purpose, don’t just date because you are single, don’t date just to
occupy your time.
Date for the purpose of studying a life partner. Don’t date so you
have someone to pass time with or one who will only use you. If
you think loneliness is a sickness and the best cure is a
relationship then you are wrong. Being in a relationship will not
heal you neither will being single kill you.
It is God who gives good husbands and not men for the bible says
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the
Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting
shadows” – James 1:17 (NIV).
If you will learn to have a good relationship with God, trust Him and
wait on HIM, then be prepared to receive more than you asked for
or dreamed of.
If you think you love this Ex so much, then the best gift to give
them is bye bye. If the separation pains that much, it will teach
him to be a better person and not play with people who are real. He
will learn to value relationships and won’t repeat the pain again.
But when you make it easy for him to return, you are equally telling
him, you are not good enough to be the only woman in his life; that
he can leave at any time, mess up and you will be ready to accept
him back. It also means, he is free to marry anyone he comes
across, for you are not good at being married to.
Never reduce your value because your boyfriend can’t pay the cost
of respecting you and remaining loyal to you. If he can’t afford
that, it means he is not the right person for you, so stop chasing
the wrong one.
When you break up, please take enough time to work on yourself,
take time to heal. Don’t just jump into a new relationship. It’s like
making your next a band-aid for what the last person did. You will
get more hurt.
If you take your time to work on yourself, you will realize there is
no need chasing what is bad. You will not feel like you are losing
someone, for the truth is, good people don’t lose people. It is
rather people who lose them.
The next time your Ex calls you to say he misses you, just tell him
you are sorry for his loss for you are at a funeral now, saying
farewell to the feelings you had for him. Your feelings for him is
dead.

Police warn Senator Saraki against jeopardizing murder investigations

The police have confirmed the transfer of suspects linked to a
string of killings in Kwara State to Abuja.
But police spokesperson, Jimoh Moshood, said the transfer was
not because of Senate President Bukola Saraki. He, however,
warned that an alarm raised by Mr Saraki over the development
could compromise the investigation and demoralize families of
those killed by the criminal gang.
The suspects were arrested in Kwara State and paraded before the
press in Ilorin, the state capital, last week Friday, Mr Moshood, an
assistant police commissioner, said in a statement to newsmen.
“The Force therefore wishes to categorically state that, there is no
iota of truth in the allegation and false assertion by the Senate
President of plot against him by the IGP to implicate the Kwara
State Government and the Senate President in any criminal
matter,” the official said.
“Until investigation is concluded, any person (s) or group(s) who
tries to interfere in the investigation process by action or
utterances is committing an offence,” he added.
Mr Moshood listed the suspects arrested and paraded in Ilorin
before being moved to Abuja today as follows: Abolaji Safti Ojulari
of Kankatu area, Ilorin; Lanre Mohammed Soliu a.k.a Askari of Ile
Nda Compound, Ilorin; Azeez Moyaki of Moyaki Compound,
Gambari Area Ilorin and Suleiman Babatunde of Gambari Area,
Ilorin.
Yusuf Habeeb of Kangile Village, Kulende, Ilorin and Umar Yahaya
of Kangile Village, Kulende, Ilorin are also amongst the suspects
arrested.
“The suspects admitted and confessed before the press and the
public to have killed eleven (11) innocent persons in Kwara State
and other States of the country,” Mr Moshood said.
Those allegedly killed by the “assassin gang” according to Mr
Moshood included: Bukola Ajikobi, killed on 18/01/2016 at Ajikobi
area in Ilorin; Azeez Lawal, killed in February, 2018 at Oja Oba area
of Ilorin; Lateef (Surname unknown) killed February 2018 at Ode
Alfa Nda area of Ilorin; Jamiu (Surname unknown) killed in
February 2018 at Idi Ape area, Ilorin.
Others were: Segun (Surname unknown) killed in September, 2017
at Kankatu area of Ilorin; Wasiu (Surname unknown) killed in
September 29, 2016 at Shao Garage of Ilorin; Musiliu (Surname
unknown) killed in February, 2018 at Shao Area Ilorin; Bayo Ajia,
killed in January 18, 2018 at Taiwo Road, Ilorin; Another Lateef
killed in January 2016 at Baboko Area of Ilorin; Abbey a student of
Kwara Polytechnic killed in April, 2017 at Niger Road, Ilorin and
Lanre (Surname unknown) killed on 23rd August, 2015 at Isale
Aluko Area of Ilorin.
Mr Moshood said there was nothing particularly curious or special
about the transfer, saying suspects arrested over the mayhem and
killings of innocent people in Ile-Ife, Osun State and those arrested
in Southern Kaduna crisis and Zaki-biam killings in Benue State
were all transferred to the Force Headquarters, Abuja for further
investigation before they were arraigned in court.
The statement comes hours after Mr Saraki told senators at the
plenary on Wednesday that he had uncovered an alleged plot by
the Inspector-General of Police Ibrahim Idris to frame him up in the
heinous activities of the suspects.
Mr Saraki implied that the alleged scheme might have been
informed by the ongoing stand-off between the Senate and Mr
Idris. The police chief had rejected three different invitations by the
Senate to answer questions about a slew of national crises which
range from the ongoing killings linked to suspected herdsmen and
the arrest and prosecution of Dino Melaye, a senator from Kogi
State.
“The information reaching him from the commissioner of police (is)
that they have been directed by IGP to bring them to Abuja,” Mr
Sakari said of Kwara governor Abdulfatah Ahmed. whom he said
tipped him off on the plot.
“With the information that he has, they would find how to alter their
statement already made in Ilorin and try and implicate the state
government and particularly myself. I felt that as we speak now,
these suspects are already here in Abuja.
“These acts I don’t know whether to call it desperation or
intimidation. All actions to undermine our democracy (are) a recipe
for anarchy because we are doing our work by asking officials to
obey the law, due process and subject themselves to constituted
authority.
“I think it is important (we bring) this dangerous development to
your attention, country and the international authority of the
impunity we are undergoing in this country and the danger to our
democracy,” Mr Saraki added.
Subsequently, the Senate agreed to send a nine-member
delegation to urgently see President Muhammadu Buhari about the
development.
Mr Moshood dismissed Mr Saraki’s claim as “unbelievable,
unverifiable and unfounded,”.
Yet, the police chief refused to categorically clarify whether or not
the suspects named Mr Saraki in their confessional statements or
if the Senate President is in any way under investigation in
connection to the specific charges against the suspects. The
spokesperson did not immediately respond to request for
clarification about this Wednesday night.
The police, however, noted that the suspects targeted and killed
their victims “on the instructions of their sponsors.

NFF debunks report of four Super Eagles players testing positive for Coronavirus ahead of friendly against Algeria

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has debunked report of some Super Eagles players testing positive for COVID-19 in Austria, ahead of their international friendly match against Algeria on Friday October 9.

Making a clarification on the report, the NFF said the writer misinterpreted what Coach Gernot Rohr said. It was gathered that Rohr said that four Super Eagles players had tested positive for the virus since the pandemic, but have since recovered.

The football body further disclosed that they are awaiting the result of the COVID-19 test carried out on Super Eagles players ahead of tomorrow’s game.

The statement read;

News Alert.

Please discountenance any reports that some of our players tested positive to COVID 19 ahead of tomorrow’s friendly game against Algeria. It is a blatant falsehood.

The writer of the story, who was not part of the press conference earlier today, totally misrepresented what Coach Rohr said that since the outbreak of the pandemic, four of our players had tested positive but were all now fully recovered from the virus and back in action. The results of the COVID 19 tests carried out on the Super Eagles ahead of tomorrow’s game are still being awaited.

It will be a sin against God if I don’t thank Wike – Governor Obaseki

Governor Godwin Obaseki has thanked Governor Nyesom Wike over the role he played in his re-election as the Governor of Edo state.

Obaseki who visited Wike on Wednesday September 23, stated that Governor Wike took him in after he was pushed out of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He also revealed that the campaign council met at Wike’s house to work out the strategies that led them to victory on Saturday September 19.

Obaseki was quoted saying in a statement released by Paulinus Nsirim, Rivers commissioner of information;

“After I was pushed out of my former party, this house was the first place I sought solace. You took me in as a brother, out of the storm, changed my clothes and gave me food to eat.

“It was in this house, the campaign council met to work out the key strategies that led us to victory. You mobilised people across the country. You moved to Benin, went through the humiliation and attacks. You supported us and we won.

“It will be a sin against God if we do not come to say thank you. Even if the victory we are celebrating is from God. He has used people like you to make it happen.”

Responding to this, Wike praised him for standing “firm” in the election, saying he could not have supported a “lily-hearted person.”

He said;

“Our work would have been difficult if he did not make himself available. I cannot support a lily-hearted person. Governor Obaseki was firm.

“It is not easy to fight godfatherism. But he has the interest of Edo people at heart. Together, we have conquered it.

I thank you my brother, Obaseki for carrying everybody along in the party.

“Edo people are also looking up to you to forgive everybody. Forgive your political opponents. I am happy that today, south-south is under one political party. We can speak with one voice in moving Nigeria forward. This is the sweetest electoral victory I have ever witnessed.”

Woman slumps while protesting against her sack by Cross River State government

An unidentified lady slumped on Monday September 21 in Calabar while protesting against her sack by the Cross River State Government.

Governor Ben Ayade had mid 2019, directed the delisting of about 2,500 names from the payroll of the Cross River State government, claiming that most of those employed between 2014 till then did not follow due process.

The sacked workers on Monday blocked access to the state secretariat in protest over what they described as “unfair and illegal delisting from the state payroll.”

The protesters who carried placards with inscriptions ‘we shall protest till the end’, ‘Head of Service should be sacked’’, ‘Ayade you betrayed us’, said they were tired of not hearing from the government and that the state labor union is complicit in their plights.

Speaking to newsmen, Comrade Paul Ajie Abang who led the protesters said that they had initially given the state government a seven-day ultimatum to take action or face a massive protest and that it was their silence that has led to the peaceful protest.

Abang disclosed that the group had met with the Head of Service and all other relevant stakeholders to iron out the matter but it seems the government is insincere and doesn’t want to act, and that the group will not back down till the right thing is done.

One of the protesters who identified himself as ‘Papa’ said the protesters were part of the 2500 workers from the state who were employed and then delisted from the state’s payroll.

“We are the 2500 staff of the state government who were duly employed, got their appointment letter, and then delisted from the payroll by the government. We are taking this struggle upon ourselves because labor has failed us. We are out here fighting for our rights and we have no plan of leaving here until our voices are heard.” he said.

“We are here to let the world know of the injustice being meted to us. for a year and one month now we have not received our salaries and the government is tossing us around.” He added.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the woman who was until her sack a staff of the ministry of health, was later revived and taken home.

Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi Warns Against Dangerous Moves by Gov El-Rufai

Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi representing Kaduna North Senatorial
District has condemned the attacks on the All Progressive
Congress members and other various groups during the
stakeholders meeting ahead of the APC ward, local government
and state Congress as well as the party convention.
Senator Hunkuyi who made this known in respect of the attack by
thugs during the meeting he was chairing at the Nigerian Union of
Teachers Teachers End-Well Hotel in Kaduna said Governor Nasir
el-Rufai and his political adviser, Uba Sani are responsible for the
attacks that left not few than 5 people seriously injured and
hospitalised.
Hunkuyi who said he has forwarded his complaint to the
commissioner of police in Kaduna and other relevant authorities
affirmed that arming youths for the purpose of attacking political
political opponents is alien to the state and people of Kaduna
hence the need for all lovers of Kaduna state and Nigeria to rise
against this barbaric and unwholesome style of leadership.
“I have been in Kaduna politics for the past 30 years and what is
happening under Nasir el-Rufai government in arming young
people for the purpose of attacking political opponents and
innocent people is alien and strange in Kaduna politics” he said.
Thugs allegedly loyal to Uba Sani, political adviser to el-Rufai and
led by one Sani Master at about 3pm on Sunday attacked the
venue of the APC stakeholders meeting and injured several people.
Eye witnesses said shortly after the attack, the hoodlums, the
attackers were saying “say el-Rufai for governor 2019, say Uba
Sani for senator zone two 2019.”
On why police could not give protection, it was also observed that
the efforts of the organizers of the meeting to get some police men
available failed as they were told that the commissioner of police in
charge of the state was not around. Appeals to the DPO in charge
of the area to provide at least 10 policemen to provide security
also failed as he reportedly told them that he has not gotten order
from above to release any policeman for the meeting.
Hunkuyi said the purpose of the meeting is to sensitize and
educate the people ahead of the APC ward, local government and
state congress as well as national convention.
Hunkuyi who visited Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital Kaduna and
Garkuwa Specialist Hospital along Sultan Road, Kaduna said all his
efforts is to deepen and strengthen democracy in the state.
He said hooliganism and barbaric style of governance of el-Rufai
and his aides who are beneficiaries of democracy cannot stop him.
Hunkuyi has kicked against the allegation of planned selection of
delegates through affirmation and continued to sensitize the All
Progressive Congress ( APC) members across the three zones
against such plans, insisting that Congresses must hold at the
ward, local and state levels according to the party constitution.
Senator Hunkuyi last Thursday held such sensitization meeting
with the people of Kaduna South senatorial district and got a
declaration of support in his favour come 2019. He also reiterated
his stance to send Governor Nasir el-Rufai according to him ” to
where he belongs” while interacting with members and
stakeholders from the local government areas that makes the
Kaduna central zone.
The Senator while addressing the mammoth crowd at the NUT End
well hotel venue of the meeting, also averred that governor el-Rufai
has failed the people and the mandate given to him in 2015.
According to the senator” there are perfected plans against
ensuring that congresses do not hold to elect delegates through
election but to read out names to be affirmed as delegates by the
government in power.
” For this reason this meeting has been conveyed to inform you of
such plans and to inform you that my mind is already made to
contest the position of governorship come 2019 and send Malam
Nasir el-Rufai to where he rightfully belong.
“This meeting is also aimed at informing you, plans by the
government not to allow Congresses where delegates will be
elected but to bring out names written from government house to
be affirmed as delegates.
” Don’t allow yourselves to be use and dumped again, let’s join
forces together to send packing this government of the state who
has metted injustice to people and have no iota of regard to
peoples right and feelings”.
He urged stakeholders of the party from the xone to constitute
committee members of unquestionable characters and bring out
trustworthy person to contest as Ward, local and state delegates,
assuring that he will support such contestants accordingly.
Those that spoke commended the senator for yielding the call of
the people to contest the number one seat in the state and gave
their supports to make the dream became a reality.

The fight against boko haram is not over yet – Dogara

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara,
on Saturday, criticised the federal government for failing to play its
role in providing succour to internally displaced persons, IDPs, and
leaving them to charitable acts from faith-based and non-
governmental organisations.
Dogara also said that government has not put in place structures
of rehabilitation needed for the IDPs to return to their various
homes.
Dogara’s special adviser on media and public affairs, Turaki
Hassan, in a statement made available to newsmen stated,
“Dogara said this when he paid a visit to Karmajiji IDPs camp in
Abuja, where he flagged off medical outreach for over 2000 people
in the camp.”
The Speaker, therefore, called for an integration of IDPs into
neigbouring communities as it has become apparent that
structures needed to be put in place for them to return to their
various homes have not been put in place.
According to the statement, “Dogara flayed government agencies
for failing to play their roles in providing succor for the internally
displaced persons and leaving them at the mercy of faith-based
and non-governmental organisations.
“He noted that though the appropriate thing would be to return
them to their communities, they cannot be left on their own
because the war on terrorism has not totally been won, which puts
their lives at risk in the hands of Boko Haram insurgents.
“It is turning out to be a long stay, I don’t know how we will
approach this, whether this act of intervention on the part of the
N.G.Os and faith-based organisations will be enough, or whether
government should look for other means by which we can
integrate the IDPs as against rushing them back to their
communities where they could be displaced again.
“So that is the task that we all must set our minds to accomplish.
We need to integrate them if we cannot send them back to their
communities in the nearest possible time. That effort must be
made by government, not even N.G.Os, N.G.Os can support and
faith-based organisations can also support, but the government
must stand up and be counted.”
The Speaker further expressed dismay at the appalling condition in
which IDPs live in the camps, even though they are in the FCT,
saying that should not be the case in Nigeria.
