The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned what it known as “the stoppage of transactions on all accounts belonging to its Vice presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, spouse, his relations and their companies by companies of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.”
In a press release launched by its nationwide publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, the alleged that, “Since his nomination, Peter Obi, other than going through sequence of failed makes an attempt by APC to destroy his popularity, has additionally continued to obtain all manners of threats and blackmail, together with threats to his life and people of his spouse and kids.

“The Buhari Presidency is intimidated by Peter Obi’s resume, notably his normal acceptance as epitome of fiscal accountability, frugality and transparency in governance.

In any other case, why is the Presidency on a wild goose chase in investigating Peter Obi, who left workplace as Governor of Anambra State 5 years in the past, with a nationally acclaimed clear report, intact popularity for frugality, transparency, zero tolerance for corruption and forsaking an enormous financial savings of N75bn in money and investments, with out owing any salaries, pensions, gratuities and even contractors for contracts executed?”
