Most times when people write certain things l have the feeling they
lack sense of history.
Ipob didn’t just wake up and start attacking ohaneze
When Nnamdi kanu was granted bail, in the midst of his
evangelism for Biafra restoration, he was equally engaging with
different groups including the south east governors and ohaneze.
I remember vividly they had already had the first meeting on 9th
September, 2017 and rescheduled for a second meeting on 12th
September when suddenly the operation python dance which was
initially scheduled to commence on 14th September suddenly
began on 10th September to the amazement of all and sundry. It
was this operation python dance and the palpable fear of what
may likely happen to KANU on his way to Enugu, the venue of the
meeting, that led to the abortion of the meeting between KANU and
south east governors cum ohaneze.
The truth some people like you who always want to blame lpob at
every instance fail to understand is that the disagreement/quarrel
between lpob and ohaneze/south east governors was largely due
to the conspiracy of silence exhibited by south east governors and
ohaneze as well as the role they played in the proscription and
branding of lpob as a terrorist organisation and not lack of
engagement or just being disrespectful by lpob as was largely
believed by some uninformed people
Finally, l want to say that ohaneze is not the only elders forum in
lgbo land.
There are the Alaigbo Development Foundation (ADF) led by Prof.
Uzodinma Nwala, the lgbo Leaders of Thought (ILT) led by the very
much respected Prof. Ben Nwabueze, the Eastern Consultative
Assembly (ECA) led by Evang. Elliot Ugochukwu and finally the
Nzuko Umunna led by Prof. Charles Soludo.
All these groups enjoy enormous goodwill and cordiality with lpob
except John Nnia Nwodo led ohaneze. This goes to show that
ohaneze and not lpob is the problem. Today people are blaming
lpob for their verbal attacks but truth is that no sect will endure
what lpob endured and still remain peaceful.
Apart from the unprovoked massacre of their members in their
thousands, the unlawful invasion of Nnamdi kanu’s house led to
his disappearance and to the present day, our so called leaders
looked the other way.
Boko haram was once a clandestine harmless sect until their
leader was killed and they suddenly metamorphosed into arms
struggle and today the rest is history.
The government should be careful not to push lpob into arms
struggle because no amount of state sponsored vilification will
quench the zeal of people whose minds are already made up. Ipob
has chosen the path of freedom fighting for the restoration of
biafra and only negotiation and not the use of force will stop them.

Is it right for Federal Government to dialogue and compensate killer herdsmen and bandits?
