The police in Enugu State has arrested Sampson Nwaobasi, an Enugu-based farmer, for allegedly killing his enterprise associate, Mr Friday Ani, over fee of proceeds made in a farming enterprise.
The command’s public relations officer, Ebere Amaraizu, stated in a press release yesterday in Enugu that the incident occurred on July 31 in Agbani neighborhood, whereas the suspect was arrested on August 7 by police operatives. Amaraizu stated that the deceased and Paul Eze have been companions within the farming of cucumber because the deceased and Eze had raised cash to the suspect, who does the farming, sells identical and shares earnings.
“It was gathered that his sufferer, Ani, a student of Enugu State University of Science and Technology and his enterprise affiliate, met his premature demise when he demanded from the suspect fee of his share of the proceed.
“It was gathered they have been to share N6 million because the enterprise thrived for 4 months. However, the suspect allegedly began avoiding his companions which made them imagine that he might have craftily reinvested the proceeds with out them realizing.
“The deceased traced the suspect to the farm to seek out out what has been taking place, and within the farm, misunderstanding arose between them, which allegedly resulted within the killing of Ani by the suspect and burying him contained in the bush.
